Located in Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast, Carwoola Residence by Reitsma is surrounded by white beaches and deep-water access.
The brief called for maximum privacy and a celebration of the owners’ passions for boating and automobiles. The result is a home designed for storing multiple cars, entertaining, and direct access to the rear canal system.
An angled facade shroud adds depth, while entry beneath a concrete portal compresses the approach before opening to an expansive void with sky views. The oversized Vitrosca pivot door blurs the boundary between inside and out. A second void frames a pool and Mooloolaba Wharf through a frameless window, visually extending the water to the front door. Privacy walls running north–south shield neighbours yet open at the rear to frame wharf views. Outdoor living terraces cascade towards the water, evoking a beach-like experience.
The kitchen, designed for entertaining, features an oversized island on two concrete legs with a mirrored base for a floating effect. At the heart of the home, a central lift links the living areas with the upstairs bedrooms and basement.
Upstairs, a moody palette sets the tone. The main suite is accessed via a concealed entry and includes a walk-in robe and ensuite. Three guest rooms with ensuites echo the materials and generous proportions of the master.
The basement fans out into multiple parking bays, a man cave, study, and luxury car showroom. Portholes connect the showroom to the pool and welcome natural light into the space.
Carwoola Residence celebrates its owners’ lifestyle, offering privacy, luxury, and a seamless connection to its waterfront setting.
