The clients "tufty time" lounge suite said it all. One of our favorite lounge suites of all times, made especially for those who appreciate design at its very best. Our design conscious clients had just secured one of the last residential allotments in stage one of Noosa's Elysium Estate, an estate like no other, filled with some of Australia's best Architects work (no pressure to perform then).  The triangular shaped lot had a slight fall across it which presented us with the ideal opportunity to play with subtle stepping which included a sunk in lounge/conversation pit. The single level design maximizes privacy by building tight to the lots perimeters, mimicking the unusual allotment shape, resulting in a private triangular inner courtyard. The strong visual form viewed from the street deliberately reads as a guarded structure, with just enough openings to make the casual observe imagine what lies beyond the facade. The clients love of design allowed us a great deal of freedom to explore some less mainstream outcomes. One of the highlights of any project is photographing the finished product, this home didn't disappoint, beautifully appointed and furnished selectively throughout, a home for its proud owners to enjoy for many years to come.
