Elanora Residence in Mooloolaba is a sophisticated, minimalist home on a south-facing water block, designed for privacy, views, and ventilation within a dense neighbourhood. Formed from raw concrete with living spaces carved out, it balances bold drama with comfort.
Living areas span the site from north to south, framing intimate spaces while protecting privacy from nearby townhouses. Entry is via an external court with a double-height volume, leading to the northern yard and pool. Inside, a floating concrete staircase, Abodo timber screens, and dappled light create a dynamic, sensory experience that shifts through the day.
A double-height void acts like a theatre, with balconies and terraces overlooking the suspended Gyro Focus fireplace and a concrete plinth running the home’s length—drawing the eye to its vertical and horizontal scale. Bathrooms cluster on the west for sun protection and efficiency, enabling exposed concrete ceilings elsewhere.
The master suite captures the broad water through a corner window positioned to frame the widest view. With its sculptural concrete form, layered light, and precise detailing, Elanora Residence is a striking yet welcoming retreat—celebrated by both its owners and design enthusiasts.
