Purpose.
Elanora responds to the challenge of a south-facing waterfront site within a dense neighbourhood, balancing privacy with light, ventilation and connection to the water. Raw concrete forms are carved open to create sheltered living spaces, layered courtyards and carefully framed views, while timber screens and shifting light soften the home throughout the day. The result is a sculptural but highly liveable retreat, where each opening, void and material choice has been considered to make the most of the site without sacrificing comfort or seclusion.
